Abstract:
A sensor housing (20) of this fluid level sensor (10) is provided with a peripheral wall part (23) and a lead wire insertion part (24). The peripheral wall part (23) is formed in such a way as to form a hollow space passing through the sensor housing (20) in the depthwise direction, and surround the perimeter of a terminal part (31) of a lead frame (30). The lead wire insertion part (24) is formed by notching the peripheral wall part (23) along the depthwise direction of the sensor housing (20), and is constituted by a first insertion part (24a) through which passes a lead wire (40) extending from the terminal part (31), and a second insertion part (24b) through which passes the lead wire (40) continuing on from the first insertion part (24a). The lead wire (40) is retained while bent into crank shape. In so doing, the fluid level sensor (10) can minimize leak current arising in the terminal part (31), as well as producing a good connection between the terminal part (31) and a conductor (the lead wire (40)) for connection to an external circuit.
