Title:
FLUID MACHINE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2010/035891
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A fluid machine which is compact in size, which is available at reduced manufacturing cost, and which drastically increases the efficiency of a Rankine cycle by increasing the amount of heating of a refrigerant circulating in the Rankine cycle. A fluid machine (1), wherein a pump mechanism (46) and a expansion mechanism (48) are driven by the same drive shaft (50), the pump mechanism (46) being mounted in a Rankine cycle in which an operating fluid circulate in order to recover waste heat of a heat source and circulating the operating fluid, the expansion mechanism (48) being rotationally driven by expansion of the operating fluid which becomes a superheated state by being heated after being sent under pressure from the pump mechanism (46). In the fluid machine (1), a pump mechanism exit section (76a) functioning as a refrigerant exit of the pump mechanism (46) and an expansion mechanism exit section (76b) functioning as a refrigerant exit of the expansion mechanism (48) are open outward in the same direction.
