Abstract:
This fluid measurement device (100) comprises: first to 2Nth sensor elements (SE) that are disposed around a pipe (1) through which a fluid including a scatterer flows and each comprise a light source unit (2), a light reception unit (3), and a partition structure (7) between the light source unit (2) and light reception unit (3); a signal processing unit (4) for processing signals obtained by the light reception units through light reception and photoelectric conversion; and a computation unit (5) for calculating a flow velocity or flow rate using the signals processed by the signal processing unit. The light source units and light reception units inside the sensor elements are arranged in proximity along the pipe axis direction of the pipe such that the positional relationships of the light source units and light reception units in adjacent sensor elements are reversed. The sensor elements are disposed so as to be spaced at roughly even angles on a plane perpendicular to the pipe axis. Coherent light that has been emitted from the light source unit of one sensor element and has passed through the fluid flowing through the pipe is received by the light reception unit of an adjacent sensor element. The distance between one sensor element and an adjacent sensor element is greater than or equal to πd/2 and less than or equal to √2r, where d is the distance between the light source unit and light reception unit of one sensor element and r is the radius of the outside of the pipe.
