Abstract:
A fluid sterilization device 10 is provided with: a flow path tube 20 which has a first end 21 and a second end 22 opposite the first end 21, and which defines a treatment flow path 12 extending in the axial direction; a light source (first light source 50) which is provided near the first end 21, and which radiates ultraviolet light along the treatment flow path 12, from the first end 21 in the axial direction; and a housing (first housing 30) which defines a flow-rectifying chamber (first flow-rectifying chamber 13) surrounding the exterior of the first end 21 in the radial direction. The flow-rectifying chamber has a flow opening (flow outlet 37) that serves as an inlet or an outlet for a fluid flowing through the treatment flow path 12, and communicates with the treatment flow path 12 via a gap (first gap 15) between the first end 21 and a facing member (first window 36) facing the first end 21 in the axial direction.
