Abstract:
The invention relates to a fluidized bed reactor for the production of granular polycrystalline silicon. The fluidized bed reactor comprises a segmented reactor pipe arranged between a reactor head and a reactor floor, a heating device, at least one nozzle for supplying fluidization gas, at least one nozzle for supplying reaction gas, a device for supplying silicon seed particles, a product extraction line, and an exhaust extraction line. The reactor pipe comprises a base segment and at least one spacer segment, wherein a flat seal made of a material containing carbon is arranged between the base segment and spacer segment and wherein the spacer segment consists of a material having a thermal conductivity of < 2 W/mK in a temperature range from 100 to 950 °C. The invention further relates to a method for producing granular polycrystalline silicon in such a fluidized bed reactor.
