Abstract:
To eliminate autofluorescence emitted by an object to be measured, first the fluorescent light of the object to be measured is received at a first wavelength band, such that the intensity of the fluorescent light emitted by the object to be measured which has been irradiated with intensity-modulated laser light is higher than the intensity of the autofluorescence emitted by the object to be measured which has been irradiated with the laser light, and then the autofluorescence is received at a second wavelength band which differs from the first wavelength band. First fluorescence data and autofluorescence data are generated by mixing the fluorescence signal of the first fluorescent light that was generated and the fluorescence signal of the autofluorescence with the modulated signal of the laser light. This autofluorescence data is multiplied by a predetermined constant, and the result is subtracted from the first fluorescence data to generate third fluorescence data. The fluorescent intensity is calculated using this third fluorescence data.
