Abstract:
This invention addresses the problem of providing a method in which a device having a typical configuration can be used to perform high-performance multiple fluorescent immunostaining on multiple types of antigens presented by the same cell. This fluorescent immunostaining method is characterized in that after performing an initial fluorescent immunostaining step that includes a process in which fluorescently labeled antibodies corresponding to one or more types of antigens presented by a cell are made to bond to said antigen(s) via antigen-antibody interaction, a set of steps that includes the following is performed at least once: (1) an antigen-antibody dissociation step that includes a process in which an antigen and a fluorescently labeled antibody bound thereto via antigen-antibody interaction are dissociated from each other; and (2) a fluorescent immunostaining step that includes a process in which one or more types of fluorescently labeled antibodies corresponding to one or more antigens presented by a cell are made to bond to said antigen(s) via antigen-antibody interaction.
