Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a fluorescent light source device with which a high luminous efficiency can be obtained and output light having high uniformity without occurrences of color irregularity can be obtained.
The present invention is a fluorescent light source device that is provided with a fluorescent plate and a light diffusion plate provided on the fluorescent light radiating surface side of the fluorescent plate and in which excitation light received at the surface of the light diffusion plate is made incident on the fluorescent light radiating surface side of the fluorescent plate via the light diffusion plate, and is characterized in that: the outside peripheral edge of the back surface of the light diffusion plate is disposed so as to be positioned more to the inside than the outside peripheral edge of the fluorescent light radiating surface of the fluorescent plate; a light reflection part is provided over the entire outer circumferential surface of the light diffusion plate; and on the front surface of the light diffusion plate, the region of incidence for the excitation light is formed such that the outer edge of the region of incidence is positioned inside of the outside peripheral edge of the front surface of the light diffusion plate.
