Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a fluorescent light source device, which is capable of emitting fluorescence at a high efficiency, and which is capable of constituting a small device with a simple structure, and by which a high light use efficiency of fluorescence can be obtained when the device is used in a projector device. This fluorescent light source device is configured by being provided with: a plurality of excitation light sources that output excitation light; a fluorescent plate that emits fluorescence when the plate receives the excitation light; and an excitation light inputting optical system, that inputs the excitation light to the fluorescence output surface of the fluorescent plate, said excitation light having been outputted from the excitation light sources. The fluorescent light source device is characterized in that: the excitation light inputting optical system is provided with a mirror member having a plurality of excitation light reflecting surfaces that respectively convert the traveling directions of the excitation light outputted from respective excitation light sources; and the excitation light reflected by the excitation light reflecting surfaces is diverging light.
