Abstract:
[Problem] To obtain an inorganic blue fluorescent material that is composed of elements for which there are no suspected harmful effects on humans, and that has an excellent texture when applied to skin. [Solution] A fluorescent material for cosmetics which is a composite oxide that includes in the range of 0.0005–0.05 Ce (molar ratio per 1 mol of phosphorus in the molecule) in a compound represented by the general formula CaaPbOc (3.2≤a≤5.0, b=2, c=a+5), and which has an average particle size of 1–10 μm.
