Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a fluorescent molded body that achieves high-directivity and high-brightness light emission, a solid-state light source and an electronic device using the same. [Solution] This fluorescent molded body is provided with a first surface, a second surface, and a side surface. Excitation light outputted from a laser light source is incident on the first surface. The second surface is disposed opposite the first surface. The side surface is in contact with the first surface and the second surface, and has a first inclined surface and a second inclined surface that are inclined at an obtuse angle with respect to the second surface and are disposed opposite each other. In the fluorescent molded body, evanescent waves are generated at the first inclined surface and the second inclined surface by total reflection of light excited by the excitation light and emitted inside the fluorescent molded body, and when the emission wavelength of the emitted light is denoted by λ, the distance between a position at which the first inclined surface and the second surface are brought into contact and a position at which the second inclined surface and the second surface are brought into contact is less than 2λ.
