Title:
FLUORESCENT SUBSTANCE, PROCESS FOR PRODUCING SAME, AND LIGHT-EMITTING DEVICE INCLUDING SAID FLUORESCENT SUBSTANCE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2015/087861
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a fluorescent substance which emits red light at a high luminescent efficiency, a light-emitting device, and a process for producing the fluorescent substance.
[Solution] A fluorescent substance which emits red light and has a basic composition represented by the formula Ka(Si1-x, Mnx)Fb, characterized in that when this fluorescent substance is analyzed for Raman spectrum, the ratio of the intensity of a peak assignable to the Mn-F bond which is contained in the crystal and appearing at a Raman shift in the range of 600±10 cm-1 to the intensity of a peak assignable to the Si-F bond which is contained in the crystal and appearing at a Raman shift in the range of 650±10 cm-1 is 0.09-0.22. This fluorescent substance can be produced by bringing a reaction solution into contact with a silicon source, the reaction solution having a molar ratio of hydrogen fluoride to potassium permanganate of 87-127.
