Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a fluorinated organic compound production method that makes it possible to easily separate and recover iodosylbenzene derivatives. A fluorinated organic compound production method that includes: a step A in which an organic compound (1) is fluorinated by reaction with a fluorine source (3) in the presence of a hypervalent iodo aromatic ring compound (2a) or in the presence of an iodo aromatic ring compound (2b) and an oxidizing agent (2bo) (the fluorine source (3) being a fluorine source (3a) that is represented by the formula MFn (in which M is H, a group 1 metal, or a group 2 metal, and n is 1 or 2)); and a step B in which, after step A has begun, iodo aromatic ring compounds are separated from a reaction liquid.
