Abstract:
Disclosed is a binder which is capable of finely and uniformly dispersing an electrode active material, a conductive assistant and a binder, and is also capable of providing an electrode composite layer that has high workability and a low risk of placing a burden on the environment or damaging the health of human beings. Also disclosed is an aqueous paste which is used for the production of an electrode for an electrical storage element.
Specifically disclosed is a binder which is blended into an aqueous paste of an electrode material that is used for the production of an electrode for an electrical storage element. The binder is composed of a polymer which is selected from among fluorine-containing olefin copolymers having a hydrophilic group in a side chain and linear hydrophilic polymers having a hydrophobic fluorine-containing organic group at both ends, and has a fluorine content of 3-60% by mass and a number average molecular weight of 1,000-1,000,000.
