Abstract:
Provided is a novel fluorine-containing copolymer which can meet demands of hydrophilicity and smoothness appropriate in the field of surface treatment agents, surface modifying agents, etc., for resin, films, fibers, glass, metals, etc. This fluorine-containing copolymer contains a (meth)acrylate compound represented by general formulas A and C as the monomer unit, and is characterized in that the fluorine-containing copolymer contains residue of a chain transfer agent in the radical polymer reaction represented by general formula (I). Rf represents a specific fluorine-containing group.
