Abstract:
Provided are: a fluorine-containing ether compound, a fluorine-containing ether composition, and a coating solution, which are capable of forming a surface layer having excellent initial water and oil repellency, fingerprint stain removability, abrasion resistance, light fastness, and chemical resistance; an article having a surface layer; and a production method thereof. The fluorine-containing ether compound is represented by A-O-(Rf1O)m-Rf2-[C(O)N(R1)]p-Q1-C(R2)[-Q2-SiR3
nL3-n]2, where A is a C1-20 perfluoroalkyl group, Rf1 is a linear fluoroalkylene group, m is an integer of 2-500, Rf2 is a linear fluoroalkylene group, R1 is a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group, p is 0 or 1, Q1 is a single bond or an alkylene group, R2 is a hydrogen atom, a monovalent hydrocarbon group, or the like, Q2 is an alkylene group, R3 is a hydrogen atom or a monovalent hydrocarbon group, L is a hydrolyzable group, and n is an integer of 0-2.
