Abstract:
A fluorine-containing ether compound is provided which can form a surface layer with excellent fingerprint stain removability and abrasion resistance on the same level as in the prior art, and better-than-conventional light resistance. This fluorine-containing ether compound is represented by A1-O-(Rf1O)m-A2. Therein, A1 is a perfluoroalkyl group, etc., A2 is -Q1[-C(R11)b(R12)3-b]a, etc., Rf1 is a fluoroalkylene group, m is 2-500, Q1 is an a+1 valent organic group, R11 is -Q2-Si(R21)c(R22)d(R23)e, R12 is a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, etc., a is an integer 1-3, b is 2 or 3, Q2 is a simple bond or a divalent organic group, R21 is -Q3-Si(R31)3-g(R32)g, R22 is an alkyl group, R23 is a hydrolyzable group or hydroxyl group, c, d and e are 0-3 with c + d + e = 3, c in at least one R11 of the multiple R11's is 2 or 3, Q3 is a divalent organic group, R31 is an alkyl group, R32 is a hydrolyzable group or hydroxyl group, and g is 1-3.
