Abstract:
A fluorine-containing ether compound that is characterized by being represented by the following formula (1). Formula (1): R1-(O(CH2)a)b-[A]-[B]-O-CH2-R2-CH2-R3 (In formula (1), R1 is an alkyl group that may have a substituent group, or an organic group that has at least one double bond or triple bond, a is an integer from 2 to 4, and b is 0 or 1. [A] is represented by formula (2): -(OCH2CH(OH)CH2)c- (where c is 1 or 2). [B] is represented by formula (3): -(O(CH2)eCH(OH)CH2)d- (where d is 0 or 1, and e is an integer from 2 to 4). The sum of the values of c in formula (2) and d in formula (3) is 2. R2 is a perfluoropolyether chain. R3 is represented by formula (4): -(OCH2CH(OH)CH2)2-O-CH2(CH2)fOH (where f is an integer from 2 to 5).
