Abstract:
A novel PFA-based fluorocopolymer which has improved impermeability to liquid chemicals while retaining the excellent heat resistance, stress cracking resistance, and processability inherent in PFA-based fluororesins; and a material and a molded article which comprise the copolymer and are for use in the field of semiconductor production apparatuses, etc. The fluorocopolymer comprises 90 to 99.4 mol% repeating units derived from tetrafluoroethylene, 0.5 to 5 mol% repeating units derived from at least one lower perfluoro(alkyl vinyl ether) represented by the formula (1): CF¿2?=CF-O-Rf?1¿ (wherein Rf?1¿ is C¿2-4? perfluoroalkyl), and 0.1 to 5 mol% repeating units derived from at least one higher perfluoro(vinyl ether) represented by the formula (2): CF¿2?=CF-O-Rf?2¿ (wherein Rf?2¿ is C¿5-10? perfluoroalkyl or C¿4-17? perfluoroalkoxyalkyl) and has a melt flow rate of 0.1 to 100 g/10 min and a melting point of 290 to 325°C. Also provided is a resin composition containing the fluorocopolymer.
