Abstract:
Provided are: a fluoroether composition and a coating fluid which are capable of forming a surface layer having water and oil repellency, ease of fingerprint-stain removal therefrom, and lubricating properties and excellent in terms of wear resistance and light resistance; and an article including the surface layer. The fluoroether composition comprises a specific compound (1) which comprises a poly(oxyperfluoroalkylene) chain having one hydrolyzable silyl group bonded to one terminal thereof and a specific compound (2) which comprises a poly(oxyperfluoroalkylene) chain having a plurality of hydrolyzable silyl groups bonded to one terminal thereof, wherein the content of the compound (1) in the fluoroether composition is 10-90 mol% with respect to the sum of the compound (1) and the compound (2).
