Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a composition for forming a wavelength-converting film and a method for manufacturing a wavelength-converting film having a high degree of freedom in terms of material design, and capable of inhibiting aggregation of quantum dots in the curing process and forming a wavelength-converting film. To provide a wavelength-converting film, wavelength-converting member, backlight, and liquid crystal display device having few aggregated quantum dots and excellent luminous efficiency. Solution] This composition for forming a wavelength-converting film is coated onto a substrate to form a coating, and the coating is cured to thereby form a wavelength-converting film, the composition for forming a wavelength-converting film comprising at least quantum dots, a volatile component, a binder that dissolves in the volatile component, and/or a binder precursor that dissolves in or is compatible with the volatile component, and being capable of gelling in the presence of the volatile component.
