Title:
FLUORORESIN BASED POWDER COATING COMPOSITION
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2003/035775
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A fluororesin based powder coating composition which comprises, as a base resin, a fluorine−containing copolymer powder having a core&sol shell structure, wherein core particles comprising the fluorine−containing copolymer are covered by a resin having a glass transition temperature higher than that of the core particle, such as a (meth)acrylate resin, to form a composite resin. The core&sol shell structure is formed through a seed polymerization by the use of the fluorine−containing copolymer particle as a seed. The fluororesin based powder coating composition exhibits high resistance to light, and is excellent in the resistance to blocking and also in the smoothness of a coating film resulting from the application thereof.
