The flush mounted switch - socket mounting box (1) that forms the subject of the invention covers a mounting box (2) that remains in the internal part of the wall (7) and a protective base surface (4) on which the sockets or switches sit and a protective frame (5) that surrounds the edges of the sockets or switches and a flush mounted switch - socket protector (3) that has a width that is greater than the diameter of the mounting box (2) and is fitted onto the mounting box (2).

CLAIMS A flush mounted switch - socket mounting box (1) is comprising a mounting box (2) that remains in the internal part of the wall (7) and characterized by a that comprising flush mounted switch - socket protector (3) that covers a protective base surface (4) on which the sockets or switches sit and a protective frame (5) that surrounds the edges of the sockets or switches and that is mounted on the mounting box (2) and that has a width that is greater than the diameter of the mounting box (2).

DESCRIPTION

FLUSH MOUNTED SWITCH - SOCKET MOUNTING BOX Technical Field:

This invention is related to switch - socket mounting boxes that are embedded into wall.

Prior Art:

In our days switches or socket mounting boxes that take place underneath the plaster for fitting the switches or sockets into the wall. Electricity wires are being drawn from terminal boxes to the flush mounted switches or socket mounting boxes. The switches or sockets are being fitted to these mounting boxes. The parts of switches or sockets with a thickness of the covers of the switches or sockets remain as surface mounted after the switches or sockets are fitted onto the mounting boxes. Such situation causes the switches or sockets to be subjected to any impact(s) that may come from outside and their coming out of their places and becoming deficient in the course of time. For example, incidents like impacting of materials onto the switches or sockets while any material is being carried and impacting of material cart while a material is being drawn are causing the breaking of these parts and their coming out of their places. Apart from these, breaking or their coming out of the places of these switches or sockets are posing dangers for the users and especially for the children, since these parts are readily connected to electrical power.

Due to this reason, some applications have been developed for the parts of the switches or sockets that are protruding due to their being surface mounted to be flush mounted so that these parts would not protrude and remain at the same level with the plaster. A switch - socket mounting box that provides the electricity switches to be embedded into the wall is being mentioned that takes place in the known state of the art in the British patent document No. GB430336. A protective frame is present in the periphery of this socket mounting box.

A switch - socket mounting box that is embedded into the wall and a switch - socket mounting box onto which the sockets or switches are being fitted are being mentioned in the known state of the art in the British patent document No. GB102404.

However, the socket or switch mounting boxes is progressing at a fixed width in these applications. Due to this reason, the switches or sockets are being directly fixed on to these mounting boxes through screws. The application of the fixation lugs that are present on the switches - sockets that are being used frequently in our days onto these mounting boxes is not possible. Due to this reason, the need for realizing a flush mounted switch - socket mounting box into which both the wall embedded switches or sockets and the switches - sockets with lugs that are being used frequently in our days can be fitted has emerged.

Purposes of the Invention:

The basic purpose of this invention is the realization of a switch - socket mounting box onto which the wholly embedded switches or sockets into the wall are fitted in such a way that no protrusion on the wall would occur.

Another purpose of this invention is the realization of a switch - socket mounting box into which the switches or sockets that are being used in our days would easily be fitted and removed. Another purpose of this invention is the realization of a switch - socket mounting box that includes a protective frame that wholly surrounds the periphery of the switch or socket. Another purpose of this invention is the realization of a switch - socket mounting box so that the mounting box and the switch - socket protective box can be dismantled from each other and that can be fitted to each other.

Detailed Description of the Invention:

The flush mounted switch - socket mounting box that has been developed to access the purpose of this invention has been shown in the enclosed figures and these figures are:

FIGURE - 1 is the perspective view of a socket that is used in the existing art when fitted on a wall.

FIGURE - 2 is the cross sectional view of a socket from the side of a socket that is used in the existing art when fitted on a wall.

FIGURE - 3 is the perspective view of a mounting box that has been used in the old system and that proceeds at a fixed width.

FIGURE - 4 is the perspective view of a socket with lugs that is being used in our days.

FIGURE - 5 is the perspective view of a socket with lugs that is being used in our days on a mounting box that has been used in the old system and that proceeds at a fixed width.

FIGURE - 6 is the perspective view of the mounting box that is to be used in the system that we have developed.

FIGURE - 7 is the perspective view of the switch - socket protective base surface that is to be used in the system that we have developed.

FIGURE - 8 is the side view of the switch - socket protective base surface that is to be used in the system that we have developed when fitted on a mounting box. FIGURE - 9 is the perspective view of the switch - socket protective base surface that is to be used in the system that we have developed when fitted on a mounting box.

FIGURE - 10 is the perspective view of a socket with lugs that is being used in our days.

The parts in the figures have been numbered and the corresponding names of these numbers have been given herein below:

8. Lug The flush mounted switch - socket mounting box (1) that forms the subject of the invention comprised by:

A mounting box (2) that remains within the internal part of the wall (7), and

A protective base surface (4)

A flush mounted switch - socket protector (3) that covers the protective base surface (4) on which the sockets or switches sit and a protective frame (5) that surrounds the edges of the sockets or switches, that is fitted onto the mounting box (2) and the width of which is greater than the diameter of the mounting box (2).

The mounting box applications have been shown in Figure 1 and 2 as known in the art. The parts of the socket or switch that have thicknesses of the socket or switch are protruding over the wall (plaster) in these applications. This protrusion may be subject to an impact from outside.

The perspective view of a mounting box that has been used in the old system and that proceeds at a fixed width takes place in Figure 3. The mounting box is in fully embossed position in the wall in these applications. However, fixation of sockets or switches with lugs that are being used in our days to these mounting boxes is not possible. The lugs (8) of the socket (6) remain in void and the socket (6) cannot be mounted on this kind of flush mounted mounting boxes, as a result of being tried to apply a sample socket (6) that has been shown in Figure 4 as seen in Figure 5 on this kind of a mounting boxes.

The perspective view of the mounting box (2) takes place in Figure 6. The perspective view of flush mounted switch - socket protector (3) takes place in Figure 7 before it is not yet mounted onto the mounting box (2). These two parts (2 and 3) form the flush mounted switch - socket mounting box (1) that forms the subject of this invention by getting together. The mounting box (2) and flush mounted switch - socket protector (3) that form the flush mounted switch - socket mounting box (1) may be manufactured as separate parts and then they may be fitted to each other later on, as well as these may be manufactured as an integral part. The being fitted of these two parts to each other may be provided by gluing, tight fitting or switch toothed systems or through other known applications in art. Manufacturing of these two parts as separate parts and then assembling them to each other later on, provides advantage from points of angle of packaging, transportation, etc. A side view of these two parts (2 and 3) when fitted to each other is shown in Figure 8.

A protective base surface (4) of the flush mounted switch - socket protector (3) that is fixed on the mounting box (2) and that surrounds the mouth part of the mounting box (2) is present. This protective base surface (4) is at the same time is the part that the sockets or switches sit onto. The periphery of the protective base surface (4) is surrounded by the protective frame (5). The edges of the socket (6) are being protected by this protective frame (5).

A perspective view of flush mounted switch - socket mounting box (1) that forms the subject of this invention takes place in Figure 9. A perspective view of a sample socket (6) takes place in Figure 10. The view of this socket (6) while it has been fitted onto the flush mounted switch - socket mounting box (1) that forms the subject of this invention takes place in Figure 11.

The perspective view of socket (6) while it has been fitted onto the flush mounted switch - socket mounting box (1) and when the switch - socket mounting box (1) is embedded into the wall (7) have been shown in Figure 12. Again in Figure 13, the side views of the socket (6) while it has been fitted onto the flush mounted switch - socket mounting box (1) and when the switch - socket mounting box (1) is embedded into the wall have been shown. As it will be seen, the flush mounted switch - socket mounting box (1) that forms the subject of this invention does not protrude from the wall (7) to while it is embedded into the wall. The thickness of the protective frame (5) has been adjusted to the standard thickness of the switches or sockets. Due to this reason, these switches or sockets do take place in such a way that these do not form protrusion in the wall (7), when the switches or sockets are fitted. Due to this reason, the switches or sockets are in a state so that these would be protected against all kinds of impacts that may come from external medium.

Both the mounting of the switches and sockets with lugs that are being used in our days and also due to the taking place of the mounting box (2) these switches or sockets at the same level with the wall inside the wall (7) are being provided, due to the reason of being used of a flush mounted switch - socket protector (3), width of which is greater than the diameter of the mounting box (2) and that covers a protective base surface (4) in the flush mounted switch - socket mounting box (1) on which the sockets or switches that form the subject of the invention sit is mounted on the mounting box (2) and a protective frame (5) that surrounds the edges of the sockets or switches.
