Abstract:
Provided is a flushing unit which does not cause damage to an inkjet nozzle. The flushing unit is equipped with a casing (52), a cover which has an opening formed therein and is detachable from the casing (52), a winding member (58) which is detachably disposed in the casing (52), an ink absorbing material which is disposed in the casing (52) below an opening formed in a first plate-like member and can be freely wound up in the winding member (58), and a microcomputer which counts the number of times flushing processing is performed for discharging the ink in the ink absorbing material from the inkjet nozzle of an ink head and drives the winding member (58) on the basis of the count value. The microcomputer is configured so as to drive the winding member (58) and wind up the ink absorbing material in the winding member (58) when the count value reaches a prescribed value or higher.
