Abstract:
A fluttering prevention device (10) has bolt members (24a-24d) for fastening
a spindle (18) and a boring bar (20) together. In a body constituting the bolt members
(24a-24d), a damper chamber (34) is formed and a friction damper (36) for absorbing
vibration energy causing fluttering when a workpiece (W) is processed is movably
contained in the damper chamber (34). The friction chamber (36) absorbs the vibration
energy by sliding friction.
