Title:
FOAMED FILM FOR SHRINK LABELS
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2007/034884
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The invention provides a foamed film for shrink labels which is applicable to a new shrink label fitting system which comprises winding a continuous foamed film for shrink labels around the body of a container, cutting off the overlapped part of the film, joining the resulting film ends to each other to form a tube, and heating the tube to form a label through heat shrinkage. This foamed film is a shrinkable foamed film which is obtained by subjecting a film produced by inflation at an expansion ratio of 1.3 to 5 to stretching in the lengthwise (extrusion) direction at a stretch ratio of 1.5 to 4.0 and which has characteristics of thickness of 120 to 300μm, tensile modulus of 80 to 500MPa, coefficient of static friction of 0.3 to 0.8, and shrinkage percentages of 15% or above at 90°C and 30% or above at 120°C.
