Abstract:
In order to facilitate the control of a shutter switchable between normally open and closed modes, this focal-plane shutter device comprises: a front curtain blade and a rear curtain blade that are movable between a position covering an opening provided in a shutter base plate and a position retracted from the opening; first and second elastic members that respectively generate an urging force that makes the front curtain blade and the rear curtain blade travel in a direction so as to retract from the opening; a charging member that applies an urging force to each of the elastic members; a front curtain lock member that maintains the front curtain blade in a state retracted from the opening when the charging member applies an urging force to the first elastic member; a rear curtain lock member that maintains the rear curtain blade in a state covering the opening when the charging member applies an urging force to the second elastic member; two switches that operate together with the respective lock members; and a lock release member that releases the lock members and operates together with the charging member.
