Abstract:
This focal-plane shutter is equipped with: first, second and third substrates which each have an opening, and are arranged in the direction of an optical axis which passes through the openings; a first curtain capable of opening and closing the openings, and positioned between the first and second substrates; a second curtain capable of opening and closing the openings, and positioned between the second and third substrates; first and second arms supported so as to be rotatable about different fulcrums from one another, comprising a synthetic resin, connected to the second curtain, and positioned between the second and third substrates; a drive member for driving the first arm and connected to the first arm; and a support member for supporting the second substrate and provided on the first-substrate side, at a position inside the operational region of the first arm, when viewed from the optical-axis direction, or at a position near the first arm and separated from the second arm when the opening is opened by the second curtain.
