Abstract:
Provided are a focal point adjustment device, a camera system, and a focal point adjustment method that enable appropriate correction to be carried out in accordance with the state of an image pickup lens and an image pickup element. The present invention is provided with the following: an image pickup element 21 that includes focal point detection pixels and image pickup pixels and that receives luminous flux which passed through the image pickup lens and photoelectrically converts the same to output an image signal; a first storage unit (#9) that stores information pertaining to the emission angle range of the luminous flux emitted towards the image pickup element; a second storage unit (#15) that stores information pertaining to the characteristics of the image pickup element 21; and a computation unit (#13) that, on the basis of the output of the first storage unit and the output of the second storage unit, computes information for focal point adjustment. Information for focal point adjustment is corrected giving consideration to the rotation amount of the image pickup element 21.
