Abstract:
The present technique pertains to a focal point detection device, a method therefor, and a program that enable detection of exact image displacements. An arithmetic section performs a learning-based calculation on the basis of the amount distribution of light received by a pixel group A having first characteristics for phase difference detection and the amount distribution of light received by a pixel group B having second characteristics different from the first characteristics, thereby outputting information relating to defocus amount. The present technique can be applied to an imaging device that detects a focal point using the phase-difference detection scheme.
