Abstract:
Disclosed is a focus adjusting device provided with an edge detection unit which detects for each color component that make up an image including an image of the object to be photographed, the edge of said image of the object to be photographed; a distribution detection unit which detects a distribution for the focusing state and the non-focusing state of said image on the basis of the edges detected by the edge detection unit; and a control unit which shifts the lenses on the basis of said distributions detected by the distribution detection unit; wherein, the image of object to be photographed is incident through an optical system including said lens, and the control unit causes the lens to shift such that the image of the object to be photographed is brought into focus.
