Abstract:

A foil for negative electrode of capacitor that is capable of ensuring high capacitance and high strength; and a process for producing the same. The foil for negative electrode of capacitor comprises an aluminum foil and, superimposed on a surface thereof, a carbonaceous layer. An intervenient layer containing aluminum and carbon is provided between the aluminum foil and the carbonaceous layer. The process for producing such a foil for negative electrode of capacitor comprises the step of disposing an aluminum foil in a space containing a hydrocarbonaceous substance and the step of heating the aluminum foil.
