Abstract:
The present invention provides a foldable bicycle that is capable of preventing the front wheel from being unexpectedly folded rearward when the bicycle is used. A fork column (33) forming the upper part of a front fork (31) of a foldable bicycle (101) is supported by a head tube (1) so as to be pivotable in a steering direction, and divided into upper and lower fork columns (57, 59) that are connected to each other by a rotary shaft (61) so as to be bendable in the longitudinal direction. In a state where the bicycle (101) is used, the upper and lower fork columns (57, 59) are positioned in the head tube (1), and are prevented from bending about the rotary shaft (61) by the head tube (1). In order to fold the bicycle (101), the fork column (33) is pulled out downward by releasing a restraint member (69), the lower fork column (59) is bent about the rotary shaft (61), and the front wheel (29) is folded rearward.
