Description:
FOLDABLE CONSTRUCTION GUIDE INDICATOR TECHNICAL FIELD The present invention relates to a guide indicator installed around construction sites of various kinds for the purpose of construction information notification and field education and, more particularly, to a foldable construction guide indicator capable of providing a convenience of size adjustment, both laterally and vertically width adjustment, and a minimization effect of occupying space of the indicator during a transportation or storage, by means of connecting a foldable link between a right and left foldable support legs, and employing a flexible fibrous material as a guide screen, rather than employing a metal plate attached on one side of triangular support legs.

BACKGROUND ART A conventional safety fence is installed to prevent a vehicle or a human from accessing to construction sites of various kinds, i. e. , a building construction, a manhole construction, a highway construction, etc. Generally, the fence includes both of erected columns and a plate-like shield member located between the columns.

This safety fence is mostly made of a synthetic resin extruded in large scale, and filler such as sand or earth is filled in an interior of the fence to prevent from falling down by wind. In addition, after an

individual safety fence is built in serious, a fastener may bind the safety fences each other to provide a binding force. Further, various safety fences may be made of metals.

However, the conventional safety fence as described hereinabove has problems that its moving and treatment is very difficult since it is made of a synthetic resin or a metal having a substantial weight, and its storing space occupies a large volume when the fence is removed and stored since the fence is integrally manufactured in a fixed shape.

In addition, the conventional safety fence has problems that its installation is impossible or its installed shape is complicated to become a poor appearance in case of a slope way, an inclined ground, or uneven or irregular road, the fence is fallen down by only a wind or a light impact, and its disassembling operation needs a substantial time and human power since fasteners are unfastened to each other when the fence is disassembled.

Therefore, an applicant of the present invention has filed a foldable safety fence capable of adjusting a width of installation as described in Korean Utility Model Application No. 2001-32273. The foldable safety fence includes a four erected support legs having an upper portion and a lower portion, respectively, with which a respective stationary member and a respective movable member is engaged, a connecting link for connecting the support legs in vicinity of each other to be foldable, and a Velcro tape attached to an upper surface of the

stationary member and between the stationary member and the movable member, for attaching a sun screen and a reflection tape for recognition, thereby enabling an establishment of the fence in a proper size by deploying only a required section by using a foldable support legs, facilitating an assembling and a disassembling of the fence due to a simple deploying and folding operation, and enabling a safety operation during a bad weather such as intense sunlight, snow, rain, etc. , by a sun screen of the upper portion.

However, since the above safety fence is foldable type, while it is possible to use with various sizes of fences, it is not proper to use a construction guide indicator installed around construction sites of various kinds.

A construction guide indicator is a relatively simple erected triangular indicator, which performs a function of recognizing field status and construction information to an operator or a walker around the construction site by attaching various types of notices or warning phrases at one surface of the indicator.

However, since this guide indicator should be used in various sizes depending upon a scale or status of construction sites, this guide indicator has problems that a moving or carrying out of a number of fences at the same time is difficult due to its huge volume resulted from a hinge coupled shape of upper ends of a wide panel, and its moving is laborious due to its heavy weight.

To solve the above-mentioned problems, it has been attempted to apply the foldable safety fence filed by the applicant of the present invention. However, a rectangular frame type of the safety fence has problems that the fence is easy to fall down since it is severely affected by a wind, and an application as a guide indicator is impossible since the fence is invented for the purpose of a safety fence.

DISCLOSURE OF INVENTION To solve the problem, the present invention provides a foldable construction guide indictor comprising upper clamps for hinge fixing both upper ends of support legs; connecting rods for crossly connecting each of the support legs to each other, of which a lower end is movable to up and down, respectively; and a guide screen attached at one side of the support legs, which is made of a flexible fibrous material.

An object of the present invention is to provide a foldable construction guide indicator capable of using as various sizes of guide display panel since it can be width-adjustable both laterally and vertically, and allowing the support legs at both sides to be bent adjacent to each other since the guide screen is folded, thus allowing the guide display panel to occupy a minimum space during transportation and storage, thereby facilitating its handling.

In the drawings: Fig. 1 is a full perspective view of a construction guide indicator of the present invention; Fig. 2 is a front view showing a folding operation of a construction guide indicator of the present invention; Fig. 3 is a perspective view of another embodiment of a construction guide indicator of the present invention; and Fig. 4 is a perspective view of yet another embodiment of a construction guide indicator of the present invention.

BEST MODES FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION Hereinafter, a preferred embodiment of the present invention will be described.

Fig. 1 is a full perspective view of a construction guide indicator of the present invention; and Fig. 2 is a front view showing a folding operation of a construction guide indicator of the present invention.

Upper clamps 1 and 1'hinge clamps upper ends of support legs 2 and 2', and each of the support legs 2 and 2'is deployed and folded at the upper clamp 1 and 1'as a hinge point.

Each of the support legs 2 and 2'are spaced apart from each

other and connected to each other by individual connecting rods 3 and 3'. The connecting rods 3 and 3'are crossly hinged, and have movable members 4 and 4'at lower ends of the connecting rods 3 and 3', wherein the movable member 4 and 4'are movable to up and down along the support legs 2 and 2'.

The upper clamps 1 and 1'and the lower portion of the support legs 2 and 2'have Velcro tapes 5 and 5', and a rear surface of a guide screen also has Velcro tapes 6 and 6', thus the guide screen is attached to the upper clamps 1 and 1'and the support legs 2 and 2'.

In addition, the support legs 2 and 2'includes insertion pipes 9 at its lower portion, and the insertion pipe 9 has a fixing hole 8, wherein the insertion pipe 9 is reciprocated along the support leg 2 and 2'to adjust a height of the indicator.

The upper clamps 1 and 1'and the lower portion of the support legs 2 and 2'have individual fixing plates 10 and 10'fixed thereon, thus, the guide screen 7 is more tightly fixed between the clamps 1 and 1'and the fixing plate 10 and 10', and between the support legs 2 and 2'and the fixing plate 10 and 10'. The guide screen may use a tent that a notice is already printed, or a board that various letters are to be written, depending upon a field status.

Hereinafter, an operation of the present invention as described hereinabove will be described in more detailed in connection with the

accompanying drawings.

As shown in Fig. 2, when the guide indicator of the present invention gathers the laterally spaced support legs 2 and 2'to inside thereof, each of the support legs 2 and 2'are approached to each other as the connecting rod 3 and 3'and the movable members 4 and 4'which connect each of the support legs 2 and 2'are moved downward.

Further, a width adjustment and a height adjustment of the indicator is very easy, since the lower portions of the support legs 2 and 2'have the individual insertion pipes 9 for adjusting the height of the support legs 2 and 2'by inserting and extracting the insertion pipe 9.

In addition, the clamps 1 and 1'and the lower portion of the support legs 2 and 2'have the Velcro tapes 5 and 5'for attaching the guide screen in which a printed notice and a record are formed by a field manager. The rear surface of the guide screen 7 also has the Velcro tapes 6 and 6'for corresponding with the Velcro tapes 5 and 5 ? v thereby attaching each of the Velcro tapes 5 and 5', 6 and 6'to each other. As a result, the guide screen is attached on a space between the support legs 2 and 2'.

As a number of guide screens are formed in various sizes and attached on the foldable guide indicator, it is possible to selectively use various sizes of guide screens depending upon a scale of construction

and an importance of guide. Further, as the guide screen employs a board plate capable of freely writing or removing letters rather than already written guide notices, it is possible to increasing an applicability of the indicator by recording an optimal guide notices depending upon a field status.

Also, as shown in Fig. 3, the clamps 1 and 1'and the lower portion of the support legs 2 and 2'have the fixing plates 10 and 10'for attaching the guide screen 7 more tightly. The guide screen 7 is located tightly between the clamps 1 and 1'and the fixing plates 10 and 10', and between the lower portion of the support legs 2 and 2'and the fixing plate 10 and 10'to prevent the guide screen from separating by a wind or an impact.

In addition, the lower portions of the support legs 2 and 2'include an insertion pipe 9 provided with a fixing hole 8. The support legs 2 and 2'are tightly fixed to a ground by the fixing hole in which a nail or a pole is past through, thereby enabling more tight installation of the guide indicator.

Further, as shown in Fig. 4, all of front and rear folding support legs 2 and 2'are connected to the connecting rods 3 and 3', thereby providing more stronger guide indicator, and extending a service life of the indicator by a tight fixing of the support legs 2 and 2'.

INDUSTRIAL APPLICABILITY The foldable construction guide indicator of the present invention is capable of using as various sizes of guide display panel since it can be width-adjustable both laterally and vertically, and allowing the support legs at both sides to be bent adjacent to each other since the guide screen is folded, thus allowing the guide display panel to occupy a minimum space during transportation and storage, thereby facilitating its handling.
