Abstract:

Disclosed are a foldable lid (4) capable of restraining a resin part from being scraped by a connecting shaft (10), and a washing machine (1) having the foldable lid (4). The lid (4) comprises a first lid portion (7) and a second lid portion (8), which are both made of resin, and a metallic connecting shaft (10) which connects the first lid portion (7) and the second lid portion (8), and the lid can be folded by centering same on the connecting shaft (10); a recess (27) is provided on at least one of the first lid portion (7) and the second lid portion (8) for an end portion (10A) in the left-right direction X of the connecting shaft (10) to be inserted; a protrusion (28) protruding towards an end face portion (10C) in the left-right direction X of the end portion (10A) is provided at the bottom (27A) of the recess (27); and the protrusion (28) is in contact with the end face portion (10C) at a place (10G) which is closer to an inner side than an outer periphery (10E).
