Abstract:
A foldable liquid crystal display and a manufacturing method therefor. The foldable liquid crystal display is provided with a plurality of display sections (91, 92), each display section (91, 92) is provided with a pair of rigid substrates (4, 5); the individual display sections (91, 92) are connected together by means of flexible substrates (1, 2), each of the display sections (91, 92) is provided with a foldable portion (6); by bending the flexible substrates (1, 2) along the foldable portions (6), the individual display sections (91, 92) of the liquid crystal display may be stacked together; by expanding the plurality of display sections (91, 92), a display area of the liquid crystal display may also be expanded; by folding the plurality of display sections (91, 92), the space occupied by the liquid crystal display may be reduced so as to enhance portability; by providing the individual display sections (91, 92) with different display modes, affording the liquid crystal display more application scenarios. The method for manufacturing the foldable liquid crystal display can achieve foldability of the liquid crystal display, while at the same time expanding the display area of a liquid crystal display on a small-size terminal, affording the liquid crystal display more application scenarios, and streamlining the manufacturing method for the foldable liquid crystal display.
