Description:
A FOLDABLE PRODUCT DISPLAY UNIT ENABLING EFFORTLESS REPLACEMENT OF ARTWORK/BRANDING

TECHNICAL FIELD

Embodiments of the present invention relate generally to display units and more specifically to a foldable product display unit.

BACKGROUND ART

Appropriate branding of products is one of the biggest challenge for any company, especially in today’s dynamic era where companies have to keep changing their branding in order to retain customers.

One of the important aspects of appropriate branding is accurate display of products with minimum expenses. There has been number of solutions are provided in this regard, such as multi-shelf display units, flexible display units. However, these solutions still have number of limitations and shortcomings such as, but not limited to, complex assembly by skilled person at the store/s, changing branding stickers by trained sales persons only, not suitable for all weather conditions i.e. outdoors/indoors.

Therefore, in light of the discussion above, there is need for a foldable product display unit, that does not suffer from above mentioned deficiencies.

OBJECT OF THE INVENTION

An aspect of the present invention provides a foldable product display unit.

Another aspect of the present invention provides a method for manufacturing the foldable product display unit.

SUMMARY OF THE PRESENT INVENTION The present invention is described hereinafter by various embodiments. This invention may, however, be embodied in many different forms and should not be construed as limited to the embodiment set forth herein. Rather, the embodiment is provided so that this disclosure will be thorough and complete and will fully convey the scope of the invention to those skilled in the art.

Embodiments of the present invention aim to provide a foldable product display unit comprising a plurality of side panels, a plurality of shelfs, a plurality of back panels, a plurality of display panels and a plurality of engagements means.

In accordance with an embodiment of the present invention, the plurality of side panels, the plurality of shelfs, the plurality of back panels, the plurality of display panels and the plurality of engagement means are made of, but not limited to, Aluminium.

In accordance with an embodiment of the present invention, the plurality of side panels, the plurality of shelfs and the plurality of back panels are coupled with the plurality of coupling means. Preferably, the plurality of coupling means is a plurality of hinges.

In accordance with an embodiment of the present invention, the plurality of coupling means is configured to provide 270° of rotation to plurality of side panels enabling a user to fold the foldable product display unit in flat formation.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS

So that the manner in which the above recited features of the present invention can be understood in detail, a more particular description of the invention, briefly summarized above, may have been referred by examples, some of which are illustrated in the appended drawings. It is to be noted, however, that the appended drawings illustrate only typical examples of this invention and are therefore not to be considered limiting of its scope, for the invention may admit to other equally effective examples.

These and other features, benefits, and advantages of the present invention will become apparent by reference to the following text figure, with like reference numbers referring to like structures across the views, wherein:

Fig. 1 illustrates a side sectional view of a foldable product display unit, in accordance with an embodiment of the present invention.

Examples:

While the present invention is described herein by way of example using embodiments and illustrative drawings, those skilled in the art will recognize that the invention is not limited to the embodiments of drawing or drawings described, and are not intended to represent the scale of the various components. Further, some components that may form a part of the invention may not be illustrated in certain figures, for ease of illustration, and such omissions do not limit the embodiments outlined in any way. As used throughout this description, the word "may" is used in a permissive sense (i.e. meaning having the potential to), rather than the mandatory sense (i.e. meaning must). Further, the words "a" or "an" mean "at least one” and the word “plurality” means “one or more” unless otherwise mentioned. Furthermore, the terminology and phraseology used herein is solely used for descriptive purposes and should not be construed as limiting in scope. Language such as "including," "comprising," "having," "containing," or "involving," and variations thereof, is intended to be broad and encompass the subject matter listed thereafter, equivalents, and additional subject matter not recited, and is not intended to exclude other additives, components, integers or steps. Likewise, the term "comprising" is considered synonymous with the terms "including" or "containing" for applicable legal purposes. Any discussion of documents, acts, materials, devices, articles and the like is included in the specification solely for the purpose of providing a context for the present invention. It is not suggested or represented that any or all of these matters form part of the prior art base or were common general knowledge in the field relevant to the present invention.

The present invention is described hereinafter by various embodiments with reference to the accompanying drawing, wherein reference numerals used in the accompanying drawing correspond to the like elements throughout the description. This invention may, however, be embodied in many different forms and should not be construed as limited to the embodiment set forth herein.

Embodiments of the present invention aim to provide a foldable product display unit enabling effortless replacement of artwork/branding. Figure 1 illustrates a side sectional view of the foldable product display unit (100) comprising a plurality of a plurality of back panels (not shown), side panels (102) coupled with the plurality of back panels, a plurality of shelfs (104) foldably connected with the plurality of back panels, a plurality of display panels (108) and the plurality of engagement means (1 10) are provided at the circumference of the plurality of side panels (102), plurality of back panels (not shown), plurality of shelfs (104).

The plurality of side panels (102) are coupled with the plurality of back panels (not shown) with help of a plurality of coupling means (1 12). The plurality of coupling means (1 12) are configured to provide 270° of rotation to the plurality of side panels (102) enabling a user to flat fold the plurality of side panels (102) with the plurality of back panels (not shown). This is advantageous over prior art that offer limited folding capability (90- 180°). Unlike prior arts, this allows the width of the foldable product display unit (100) to remain equivalent to width of the plurality of back panels even in a folded configuration, thereby saving a lot of space. The plurality of coupling means (1 12) may be, but not limited to, hinges specially designed to provide the aforesaid functionality. Once the plurality of side panels (102) are folded, the plurality of shelfs (104) are also folded downwards towards the plurality of back panels, thereby significantly reducing a size of the foldable product display unit (100) to, say, sum of thicknesses of the plurality of back panels, the plurality of side panels and the plurality of shelves. This saves a lot of space and allows for easy packing and portability of the foldable product display unit (100).

Furthermore, the plurality of side panels (102), the plurality of shelfs (104), the plurality of back panels, the plurality of display panels (108) and the plurality of engagement means (1 10) are made of Aluminium and/or cardboard. Usage of aluminium and/or cardboard provides high load bearing capacity for the foldable product display unit (100), thereby allowing placement of a greater number of products than otherwise. Additionally, the usage of aluminium also gives protection from damage caused by sudden jerk/force acting on the foldable product display unit (100) which are common in crowded places. Returning to figure 1 , in an assembled configuration, the plurality of engagement means (1 10) are configured to engage artwork, branding material to be displayed. This allows the foldable product display unit (100) to be used for advertisement and promotion of products and services apart from being used for placing products for display.

Various modifications to these embodiments are apparent to those skilled in the art from the description. The principles associated with the various embodiments described herein may be applied to other embodiments. Therefore, the description is not intended to be limited to the embodiments but is to be providing broadest scope consistent with the principles and the novel and inventive features disclosed or suggested herein. Accordingly, the invention is anticipated to hold on to all other such alternatives, modifications, and variations that fall within the scope of the present invention.
