Disclosed is a folding car for a child. The folding car comprises a rear frame (1), the bottom of which is connected to wheels, with the rear frame (1) being connected to a seat (7); a front frame (2) connected to the rear frame (1) in a back-and-forth movable manner; front lateral rods (3), front portions of which are rotatably connected to the front frame (2); rear lateral rods (4), outer end portions of which are rotatably connected to rear portions of the front lateral rods (3), with inner end portions of the rear lateral rods (4) being rotatably connected to the rear frame (1), and the outer end portions of the rear lateral rods (4) or the rear portions of the front lateral rods (3) being connected to rear lateral wheels (82); pedal rods (5) rotatably connected to the front frame (2); and a connecting rod (6) connected to the rear frame (1) in a back-and-forth movable manner, with a front portion of the connecting rod (6) being connected to the pedal rods (5) in a slidable and rotatable manner. The folding car for a child realizes the folding of a seat-type scooter for a child by means of a connecting rod mechanism, has a simple and new overall structure, is convenient to fold and has a small volume after being folded.
