Abstract:
A folding portable device having a first housing and a second housing which are foldably connected to each other, wherein the housings can be opened by simple operation even if the housings are thinned. The folding portable device is provided with a support means for supporting the first housing such that the first housing can be displaced relative to the second housing within a specific range, and also with an opening assisting means for unlocking an opening lock when the first housing is displaced by an amount not less than a specific amount.
