Abstract:
A folding portable terminal wherein a first housing (3) thereof which has a first display section (2) and a second housing (5) thereof which has a second display device (4) are connected to each other so that, in the process of opening and closing the first housing (3) and the second housing (5), the first and second housings (3, 5) can be opened and closed relative to each other in a folding manner about a hinge section (6). When the first housing (3) and the second housing (5) are opened and closed relative to each other on the hinge section (6), a front surface-side corner of a first affixed plate (7) (front surface-side corner of the first display device (2)) and a front surface-side corner of a second affixed plate (8) (front surface-side corner of the second display device (4)) are, in a side view, moved in a rectilinear path relative to the hinge section (6) with the front surface-side corners in contact with each other. As a result, the opening and closing operation can be performed smoothly with the front surfaces of the display devices made to continue with each other.
