[Problem] To provide a food cooling/transferring device that has a simple structure capable of food cooling/transferring processing and is capable of reducing the cost for food cooling/transferring processing compared to conventional cooling/transferring devices. [Solution] This food cooling/transferring device is provided with: a main flow path P1 and a sub-flow path P2 that are disposed within a cooling tank 10 containing cooling water and communicate with each other; a screw 41 and discharge ports 14a, 14b (cooling water flow generation means) for generating a flow of the cooling water in the main flow path P1; a heat exchanger 20 disposed in the sub-flow path P2; and a conveyor 30 disposed at the downstream end of the main flow path P1. A flow of the cooling water discharged from the main flow path P1 to the sub-flow path P2 is cooled by heat exchange with a cooling medium flowing in the heat exchanger 20, and then allowed to flow in the main flow path P1 again. Food to be cooled, such as chicken, is immersed in the flow of the cooling water generated in the main flow path P1 and thereby cooled while the food is transferred in a predetermined transfer direction. The cooled food is transferred to the outside by the conveyor 30.
