Abstract:
A food packaging method comprises placing a food item in a container (30); and heat sealing a film (41) on a container using a heated plate so as to seal the food item in the container. A plate identifier (2d) is formed in the film (41) during the heat sealing process, the identifier identifying the heated plate used in the heat sealing process.
