Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a food storage container for top sealing in which blood and juices do not seep into the container material, and which is configured such that there is virtually no level difference at the corners of the container and no air gaps occur when a top seal is provided to the container. [Solution] A pulp material, or the like, is formed into a heavy duty paper article. The heavy duty paper article is coated with a thermoplastic resin having a heat sealing ability. The heavy duty paper article has, at each corner, side surface pieces and a folding piece connecting the adjacent side surface pieces. The top end of the folding piece is formed such that one end reaches to the middle of a flange portion at the top of the side surface pieces and the other end does not reach to the flange portion, and the side surface pieces are adhered together in an overlapping manner with the folding piece therebetween. As a result, the contact portion of the flange is formed so as to be flat, and a top seal can be provided thereto.
