Abstract:
The present invention relates to a food waste disposal apparatus for cutting and drying food waste and to a control method thereof. The control method of a food waste disposal apparatus controls the food waste disposal apparatus which comprises: a housing which defines a food treatment space and includes a food inlet and a food outlet; a cutting bracket which is mounted on the housing to be protruded toward the food treatment space; an impeller which is formed to cut and stir food by interaction with the cutting bracket and has a blade of which one side is convex and the other side is concave; a food discharge control unit which selectively opens and closes the food outlet; and a heater which is installed in the housing to heat the housing. The control method of the food waste disposal apparatus comprises the steps of: detecting the temperature of exhaust gas emitted from the food treatment space; detecting the heater temperature; controlling on-off operation of the heater based on the exhaust gas temperature and the heater temperature; and controlling the impeller and the rotation direction and operation time of the impeller on the basis of the ratio of time when the heater is on.
