Abstract:
The present invention relates to a food waste processing apparatus for a sink, which mixes and breaks up food waste placed in the sink and then immerses and ferments same using microorganisms so as to enable environmentally-friendly decomposition and to be clean and sanitary. The food waste processing apparatus for a sink of the present invention, which grinds the food waste placed in the sink using a grinder and then decomposes the ground food waste using the microorganisms, consists of: a decomposing tank having a sloped inner floor surface; a first mixing tank, which is provided at the central portion of the decomposing tank, which has an inlet at the top through which food waste that has been ground by the grinder enters, and which has a first slit in a bottom surface thereof; a second mixing tank which is provided at one side of the first mixing tank, which re-grinds food waste that has been ground once, and which has a second slit in a bottom surface thereof; a ceramic ball which is introduced into the mixing tank and mixed together with the food waste so as to provide a habitat for the microorganisms; and mixing wings provided inside the mixing tank so as to mix the food waste with the ceramic ball. Further, the second mixing tank is formed higher than the first mixing tank, an outlet of the decomposing tank is provided between the first slit and the second slit and a Crystowrap formed therebelow, and a microorganism carrier is immersed in the lower Crystowrap of the decomposing tank.
