Abstract:
Provided is a food wrapping sheet that, in addition to the conventional function of wrapping food items, can be used in a tea or coffee extraction bag that has the additional function of adding aromas and colors to beverages. The disclosed food wrapping sheet is provided with a water-soluble or water-dispersible film that is formed by drying a solution or a dispersion onto a base sheet chosen from among tissue paper, a non-woven fabric, or a resin mesh. Said solution or dispersion uses water and/or ethanol as a solvent to which food coloring and/or volatile flavoring, and a specific non-polymeric film-forming agent having a water activity of 0.05-0.40 at room temperature when the agent contains 5 mass% volatile components are added. The specified non-polymeric film-forming agent is a water-soluble food material that is selected from a group comprising a water-soluble polyphenol, a water-soluble peptide, or a plant extract having a water-soluble polyphenol as one of the main components.
