Abstract:
The disclosed foot pedal for a drum can play stable sounds simply by dropping a foot at any position on the upper surface of a foot board. The foot pedal (1) for a drum causes a beater (10) to rotate and strike the head of the drum by means of a stepping operation of the foot board (9) attached to frames (3, 4, 5), supports the front end section and the back end section of the aforementioned foot board (9) in an upwardly- and downwardly-mobile manner, and is provided with a board translation mechanism (91) that causes the aforementioned foot board (9) to undergo upward and downward translational motion.
