Abstract:
The present invention relates to a foot plate-driven kick scooter, and more particularly, to a foot plate-driven kick scooter having a rear wheel driven by alternatingly stepping on foot plates with either foot, such that the kick scooter has a simple structure, is efficiently propelled, and can be used for exercise and leisure activities. A foot plate-driven kick scooter according to the present invention comprises: a board plate; a handle rotatably supported at a front end of the board plate, and including a grip at an upper portion thereof and a front wheel axle at a lower portion thereof; a front wheel rotatably supported on the front wheel axle; a rear wheel coupled to either end of a rear wheel axle rotatably provided at a lower rear end of the board plate, for rotating integrally with the rear wheel axle; and driving means enabling a user to drive the rear wheel by stepping on a foot plate, wherein the foot plate is provided in a pair installed such that the front ends thereof are hinge-connected to a pair of hinge pins provided on the left and right side of an upper portion of the board plate and such that the rear ends of the foot plates are raised and lowered in a pivoting fashion about the hinge pins, and the driving member includes a crankshaft rotatably provided at a lower portion of the board plate, a pair of crank arms installed at either end of the crankshaft, respectively, so as to extend in mutually opposite directions, a connecting rod with a top end hinge-connected to the rear end of the foot plate and a bottom end hinge-connected to the crank arm, a driving gear provided on the crankshaft, and a driven gear connected to the rear wheel axle in engagement with the driving gear.
