Abstract:
The present invention relates to a foot valve system comprising: a frame; a housing member which is installed on the frame; a base member which is supported on the housing member, wherein at least one inlet port and at least one outlet port of water are formed; valve units which are rotatably installed on the base member, and have control members having connection passages for selectively communicating the inlet port and the outlet port; a pedal for operating the control members; and a pedal-operating force delivery unit which is installed between the pedal and the valve units, converts an operating force of the pedal into a rotational force such that a water flow is controlled to the outlet port from the inlet port by the operation of the pedal, and delivers the converted rotational force to the control members. A foot valve system according to the present invention can operate valve units using control members which are rotatably installed on a base member by employing an operating force in accordance with the rotation of a pedal, thereby accomplishing a simple operation, a high operational reliability, and easy maintenance.
