Abstract:
Forceps which can remove a fitted crown from a tooth base so that it can be recycled within a short time and which can solve conventional problems that no dental instruments have ever existed that can remove a crown fitted to an affected part in a reusable form and a time is necessary for treating the affected part after the removal. The forceps (1) are composed of a gripping portion (2) and a handling portion (3) formed by turnably supporting the two members at their center portions, and characterized in that an antiskid member (4) coming into contact with a crown (10) fitted to a tooth is formed at one of the ends of the gripping portion (2) while a conical pyramidal, triangular pyramidal or quadrangular pyramidal insertion portion (5) which is smooth-surface finished is formed at the other end of the gripping portion (2) so as to fit into a smaller one of the holes of various sizes eccentrically bored in the side surface of the crown (10) to be treated, with a limiter (6) being provided in the gripping portion (2) or the handling portion (3) for preventing the mutual contact of the antiskid member (4) with the tip of the insertion portion (5).
